The cloister of the collegiate church of Saint-Emilion, rebuilt on the ruins of the Roman cloister in the 15th century, is a haven of peace and a charming invitation to meditation. It regularly holds artistic exhibitions and various other events that you can contemplate from the coolness of the magnificent pointed-arched arcades that are supported by twin columns, most of which have been restored. You enter the cloister either by the collegiate church created in the 12th century, or through the small dooor next to the entrance of the tourist office.

From the cloister you can see two roman church walls with their flat buttresses. This church was built in the 12th century by a college of canons whose mission was to restore discipline and rigour in the lives of the monks of Saint Emilion.
